Glossary term

Dead domain

A domain that no longer resolves, serves the original marketplace, or remains controlled for the original purpose.

Glossary terms explain how Minted & Gone describes NFT marketplace history. They are archive labels, not legal, financial, ownership, or technical audit conclusions.

Definition

Dead domain

Domains can expire, redirect, park, or be repurposed. A dead domain should not be treated as proof that assets, metadata, or contracts disappeared.
